DefinitionA centrifuge by which product is fed in either a horizontal or vertical rotating conico-cylindrical bowl. Solids settle at the bowl due to centrifugal force & transported to the narrow end by the scroll rotating at slightly higher speed then bowl. Fluid is discharged at the opposite side.
